To celebrate 120 years of Badsey Flower Show, we are mounting a special exhibition and publishing a book to commemorate the occasion. We have already received lots of contributions, but we are short of memories and photographs from the 1960s up to the year 2000.

On 25th July 1888, the very first Badsey Flower Show was held in the meadow adjacent to the old Vicarage. 135 years later, the Flower Show is still going strong. At this year’s show, the 120th (world wars, a pandemic, floods, meant that there were some years when there was no show), The Badsey Society has been asked to mount a special exhibition at the show. In conjunction with this, there will be a book written by Maureen Spinks detailing the show’s history.
As with our earlier books, we invite you to support the project by purchasing an advance copy. Everyone who does this will appear in a list of “subscribers” at the end of the book. You will be able to collect your book at the 120th Flower Show on Saturday 29th July 2023. If unable to collect on the day, we will hand-deliver to addresses in Badsey, Aldington and Wickhamford.
